Photographing families in their homes is my favourite things to do – and it’s just as well given how unpredictable British weather can be. At home, everyone can relax and be themselves, which is especially important when you have younger kids.
I absolutely love this frame from a fun photoshoot at home in Wimbledon. We have spent the majority of our time together at home, crafting, junk modelling, reading and snuggling, but I kept peeking out of the window as it was supposed to snow that day – a rarity in London!
It’s a funny thing about summer in London. We all wait, impatiently, for the summer to finally arrive, and when it hits us, good and proper, we moan about how horribly hot it is, and do our best to escape it.
For this One Frame feature, I chose this shot from a newborn photography session in Dorking. I love the quietness and contentedness of this image, as the mum went about feeding her new baby girl. It gives the view a little peek into the nursery, as if we were standing right there in the doorway.
This photograph of the four sisters at their home was one of the last ones I took during this family photoshoot in Hampton. I love the editorial feel of it, the framing, the contemplative look on their faces, and the hint of their personalities in this simple image.
