One of the perks of home education is that we can decide to do things on a whim. So one Tuesday morning, after a long discussion about dinosaur bones and extinction, we decided to spend the day at Horniman Museum‘s Dinosaur Families exhibition, explore the famous music room and the aquarium, and wander round the beautiful gardens with the view over London to die for.

Horniman Museum is a little hidden gem in the leafy Norwood / Forest Hill in South East London. I used to live in Dulwich and actually did a spot of research at Horniman as part of my Master’s in museum management while I was at Greenwich University (standing with a clipboard and bothering visitors with a bunch of questions – fun!) but since we’ve moved to Molesey 6 years ago I haven’t really been back – until now.

Here are a few pictures from our trip.
