Photography workshop for beginners in Hampton Hill

I have a confession to make. When I first picked up my DSLR camera back in 2007 I felt overwhelmed. I thought an expensive camera would instantly make my photos look better, but – no surprises there – it didn’t. I have produced rather shitty pictures for a while – and I couldn’t quite figure out how to replicate those rare instances when the pictures magically turned ok!

All those buttons and dials and the instruction manual that looked way too technical for an average person (me!) to understand. I didn’t know where to begin, and so I stuck to shooting on Auto for the longest time. It took me years to really understand how to use my camera properly.

Do you feel the same?

Does your camera sit on a shelve in its box, not being used, because it’s easier to snap a picture on your smart phone?

How would it feel to finally be able to control it? To take pictures in a darker room without them coming out smudged? To create a wonderful blurry background in the portraits of your kids – whenever you want to, and not by accident? To freeze motion when the kids are running around, and not have to ask them to stop because you can’t get them in focus when they are moving?

To authentically capture your children growing up and being their awesome crazy selves, without asking them to pose or say “cheese”?

That’s right, it would feel AMAZING.

Well the good news is that you don’t need to spend years and years figuring it all out on your own, like I did.

The Un-Cheese Photography Workshop is designed for parents just like you, who want to understand their camera and beautifully document their kids growing up, but don’t have the time to spend too long on it.

During this 3.5 hour workshop, I take my 8 years of experience as a professional photographer and distill them into easy to understand concepts, giving you only the information you need to start taking better photos right away, without feeling overwhelmed.

We will cover things like:

  • how to use available light to your advantage
  • what to do when the room is too dark
  • how to create blurry background
  • how to compose your photographs for the best visual impact
  • how to capture your kids authentically
  • and so much more!

The next Un-Cheese Workshops are happening on Monday 9th October and Saturday 11th November from 10am till 1.30am in Hampton Hill, and includes a yummy lunch, a workbook to take home, 2 weeks of email support and a private Facebook group to keep learning.

The full price of the workshop is only £95, but book before 4th of September and you get an early bird price of only £75! There are only 4 early bird tickets available, so hurry up before it’s too late!

Hope to see you there!
