I’ve shared before that this year I’ve been trying to push myself out of my comfort zone of photographing families and started going out to photograph on the streets, including London Pride this year. I’ve also photographed both big People’s Vote rallies that happened in London in June and October of 2018, and through it was about time I shared the images, considering what’s been happening in British politics this month.

At both events it struck me how many young people and families where present, and how many children too, especially at the October event; most of them carrying signs they made themselves. I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything quite like that before. Photographing a protests such as this can be challenging, with so many people moving around, and trying to find that one photo that will speak volumes, will without people really noticing what you’re doing (that’s how I like it anyway).

Below is the selection of my favourite images from both events.
