Ooh I’m so very excited to share this today! It’s the first part of the birthday party inspiration photoshoot I’ve created together with Melissa of The Sweet Hostess and a fab glamping site in Ockham, Surrey – The Green Escape.
We decided to create a Valentine’s Day and crafts inspired birthday party, and came up with the wonderful invites that double up as crafts boxes. We borrowed the idea for the egg carton invites from A Joyful Riot, but adapted it to create boxes filled with Valentine’s themed crafts supplies, including heart and flower stickers, colourful buttons and pompoms, letters, ribbons and glitter glue (all supplies from Baker Ross, Hobbycraft and eBay). To go along with the party theme, the children were able to create their own Valentine’s cards, and hanging heart decorations, and I must say the idea was a success – everyone was absorbed in crafting for a very, very long time!
