Welcome to my London photography + life blog. It’s the place to get to know me a bit better and where I share some of my work, photography advice and tips, my travels, musings about life and parenthood. And books, a lot of books.
I’m a self-confessed book worm. I learned to read aged 3, and growing up, books pretty much replaced toys and friends. Imaginary life was definitely way more interesting than any of my immediate surroundings! Now, as a mother, I find less time to read for myself, especially fiction books. I mostly read (well, listen to) business books when driving, and read children’s books together with my son.
So books being a huge part of my own childhood, and my life as a mother now, it’s no wonder that I often encourage my clients to include reading time into our photoshoots. Here’s why.

I can’t quite believe 2018 is almost over – can you? There was this one meme floating on the internet which I can’t now locate, but it basically went like this: 2018 was like “January, cold, World Cup, heatwave, heatwave, football is coming home, heatwave, December”. That’s definitely how it felt to me.
I’ve shared before that this year I’ve been trying to push myself out of my comfort zone of photographing families and started going out to photograph on the streets, including London Pride this year. I’ve also photographed both big People’s Vote rallies that happened in London in March and October of 2018, and through it was about time I shared the images, considering what’s been happening in British politics this month.
I’d found out I was placed in the Top 10 Documentary Family Photographers in the World according to FPJA (Family Photojournalists Association), at number 7 to be exact.
I’m also the only UK-based photographer in the Top 10, so I guess that makes me Top UK Documentary Family Photographer – and that’s pretty cool, really! :)
