A couple of weeks back I travelled into Central London to photograph a charity afternoon tea party held by ICP Support to introduce their newest patrol, Helen George. ICP Support works to promote research into intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy (ICP) and help women affected by the condition. It’s only a small charity and when I met one of the trustees and heard about their story, I was keen to support them in any way I could – by taking photographs and also donating a prize to their raffle.
The evening at The Lanesborough was really lovely, with lots of interesting conversations and yummy cake in the beautiful Belgravia room of the hotel. I enjoyed meeting the people behind the charity and of course Helen George who became a patron of the charity after suffering from the condition herself. I must say I’m probably one of the few people in the UK who’d never watched Call the Midwife, but now I guess I shall! :)
You can learn more about the charity over at their website, icpsupport.org and in the meantime here’s a small selection of some of the photos I took of their event.
