My approach
My approach to wedding photography is very much the same approach I use for portrait photography (or is it the other way round?).
For me, the important thing is to capture the real emotions, real interactions and all the details of your wedding day. I constantly keep my eyes peeled, anticipating those fleeting moments that are gone before you know it. Mixing reportage photography with contemporary portraits of bride and groom, I create a unique record of you wedding day, the record that would be treasured for years to come, long after the cake is eaten and the memories fade.
As your wedding photographer, I keep the whole experience fun and low pressure, allowing you to enjoy your wedding day to the maximum. Here’s how it typically works:
Before you book me
We meet up over coffee and cake and discuss your requirements. We also check each other out, kinda like the first date, where you can decide if I’m the kind of person you’d want having around on your wedding day.
After you book me
Depending on a package you choose, we may meet again for your pre-wedding (aka “engagement”) photoshoot. If you’re not having it done, we will meet to check out your venue together, talk about timings, get a list of must-have pictures and all the other bits. Don’t worry, I have done this before and have everything under control and all you need is to fill a couple of forms to let me know your preferences.
Also, a month before your wedding day, you will need to decide on the exact wedding package you’re going with, and pay the remainder of the fee.
On your wedding day
Depending on what we discussed and agreed, I will usually arrive about 1-2 hours before the wedding ceremony, to photograph bridal preparations, and groom and groomsmen if they are getting ready at the same venue.
I am very discreet and you can mostly ignore me (that is, apart from the times when I ask where your dress and shoes and flowers are, in order to photograph them).
After the wedding ceremony, we will usually sneak away for about 30 minutes for your portraits as a married couple, and after that you’ll enjoy drinks with your guests, the wedding breakfast and the dancing, and I will continue to discreetly take the photographs so you have the beautiful records of all the little moments and the emotions that fill your big day with smiles, laughter and tears.
After your wedding day
While you relax on your honeymoon, I’ll be working on your images and an initial album layout (if you are getting an album, that is) and get them ready for you shortly after you’re back. You will typically receive your images on a disk within 4 weeks from your wedding.

Best of all, get in touch with me to schedule a meeting, and I will be able to show you a full wedding or two over coffee and cake (yes I know, I keep going on about cake, but that’s kinda important).
