The Experience

First and foremost, my photography sessions are fun and enjoyable experience for the whole family.

My approach is simple – I let you relax, be yourselves and spend some quality time as a family. This means I am able to create beautiful photographs of your family that reflect your different personalities and all the little quirks that your little ones have.

As a parent you will know it is nearly impossible to get a baby or a toddler to sit and smile nicely (and naturally!) for the camera on request, so I don’t even attempt to. I take a lot of candid photographs, capturing your family’s interactions, allowing you to talk, laugh, play, cuddle, tickle, kiss, ride a bicycle, roll in the grass or just run around.

I really try to get to know you before your photography session and thanks to my natural ability to to relate to people I can put even the most camera-shy person at ease.

Because we shoot on location or at your home, children are much more relaxed than they would be in a studio environment, and we have plenty of time to take breaks, have a snack or just play a little without my lens aimed at them. Without the pressure to perform in a limited time slot, children are much more willing to cooperate!

I use very little direction during a family photography session. Instead, I give you something to do as a family, and capture what happens. This creates the most natural photographs that reflect your true personalities.

Ahead of your session, we will have a telephone consultation to discuss your requirements, the types of photographs you would like me to capture, and choose a location and time for your photoshoot. I always suggest mornings for babies and young children, as it is the time they tend to be at their happiest.

During your pre-session consultation we will also schedule an ordering appointment for me to visit you again and present you with your images, show you samples of products an for you to place your order. Your finished products are usually ready within 5-6 weeks from payment received.
